House in the heart of the village

For this house located in the heart of the medieval village of Herisson, I wanted to preserve the references of the past which give a certain charm to this old house where past and contemporary furniture cohabit.
As on all my building sites, I strive to create a unique place by mixing trends and styles.
The kitchen has been moved into the living room and has made it possible to gain a room that has become an office/TV room.
The watchword was to integrate it as well as possible into the living room. By upsetting the traditional codes, two walls were painted in slate grey which makes this so-called “technical” room more intimate.
The challenge was to bring together the noble elements of the past and eclectic contemporary furniture, thus bringing identity and originality to the place.
